Lapeer County is a county in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the population was 87,904, a 2007 Census Bureau estimate placing the population at 92,012. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, it is part of Metro Detroit. The county seat is Lapeer. The county was created on September 18, 1822, and was fully organized on February 2, 1835.
